Lousy Film Tastes
People around here have lousy film tastes. How do I know this? Simple: nobody wants to see Transformers (well, at least with me). Last month I won two free tickets to our local cinema. Can you see any film there worth viewing over Transformers (or at all for that matter)? Just foreign and arthouse films for the cultural elite that dwell in Carlton. It's a travesty. Well, not all is lost. Surely people will want to watch Die Hard 4 when it comes out. Counting the minutes.

Dude, I feel your pain. For cinema, "art", often really means "overly-long boring pretentious bullshit"
Everyone up here wants to see Transformers. I've been asked to go along with about 3 different people. Even the lady friend wants to see it, she actually seems more keen than me!
Did you go to Grog's transformer party martini?
You know i'd be with you on either of those films paul, but let me say i just saw Spiderman 3 last night...
Now, i know i missed the boat on this one and yeah it was on a 17inch pc monitor but all that aside that was the biggest piece of shit i've seen since, since fucking i don't know what since! waterworld?!!
Jesus fucking christ that scene where he's walking along the street to james brown music! fucking hell!! i've lost all faith in hollywood!
They better not fuck up Die Hard...........
You see Martini, I figued the same thing here, but no. I even explained to a couple that the film had "really big fuck-off robots that battled with each other, and could turn into cool cars and shit." Thought that would have had them for certain, but no.
I cringed during that street scene as well, luke. The fight scenes were cool mostly. Don't mention it to Az, he's still upset about it.

I think i see the issue here... its not that people dont have good taste in movies, its possibly that they DO have good taste in associates... hence your difficulty getting someone to go with?
And let me just say, that scene where Parker was strutting down the street and winking at the ladies was fucking hilarious... reminded me of me....
If people don't know already they can't be told about the greatness of Transformers, and should therefore get fucked. Now, when the fuck is part 2 out?
Seeing it this arvo, Grogs.
Is its soundtrack a similar quality to that of the classic animated film?
"You got the power..."
if only Engels, if only...
Regardless of the soundtrack, Transformers rocked.
Optimus Prime narrating at the beginning: brilliant.
I wish I sounded like Peter Cullen.
When I say, "Freedom is the Right of All Sentient Beings", people just think I'm a tosser.
I still haven't seen Transformers yet, planning on that Wednesday night with the missus. But in the interim, Reece and I managed to watch all of season 2 Beast Wars last night! Now truthfully, I was never a massive fan of the original transformers, but I loved the Beast Wars shit when it was on TV when I was in high school (NERD!!). BUt the Beast Wars are cool and Reece is in the process of finding seasons 1 & 3! hooray!
Sorry but Beast Wars was shit!
Cullen's voice does rock.
You have a lot of explaining to do, Martini. Hurry up and see it.
I saw Bungles on the weekend, and he claimed that everyone he had spoken to reckoned the film was shit. Of course I defended it. Then I met one of his friends, this chick who claimed that it was crap because the Deceptocons weren't evil enough. I chose to ignore her once I found out she had recently watched "Blades of Glory"...
And Martini, watch the original Transformers. Or least the animated movie. You got the power.
Transformers was awesome!
