My iMac died

My purple iMac died today. Just wouldn't start. They gave me a newer aqua iMac. With a 400MHz chip, it's considerably faster than my old one.

I'm trying to get the latest laptop from Apple. Only setback is they - the uni IT support - won't give me administrator access, which means I can't configure it properly to run music...and stuff.

hmm.. this mac, it is a melbourne mac, isnt it? I know... i bet you haven't been giving your mac its morning coffee from starbucks like it probably expects... the poor little thing can hardly be expected to get up in the morning and feel fully chipper if it hasnt sampled some of Brazil's finest...

Engels, mate, you can run Unix on a PC...

Advantage: You won't look like a poof, like those who use I-Macs.

Or Seattle's finest...not that many Starbucks actually. Just random cafes everywhere.

They're definitely coffee mad though. Crazy Melbournians.

I wouldn't know how to install Unix on a PC...I've installed Linux before.
